Sr Manager Legal for a Leading Hospitality Group

Job Profile:

  • Legal Compliance and Real Estate Transactions: Ensure compliance with all legal aspects related to resort operations, emphasizing real estate laws, property transactions, land use regulations, zoning, and environmental laws.
  • Property Development and Acquisitions: Oversee legal aspects of property development initiatives, including acquisitions, due diligence, contracts, and negotiations with sellers, developers, or government bodies.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements related to real estate, including leases, licenses, easements, and development agreements, while protecting the resort’s interests.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify legal risks associated with real estate and property matters and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Implement procedures to ensure compliance and minimize legal exposure.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage legal disputes concerning real estate, property, or land-related issues, collaborating with external legal counsel if necessary, and work towards favorable resolutions.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures related to real estate and property matters within the resort operation to ensure compliance and ethical practices.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent), with specialization or additional qualifications in real estate law. LL.M. in Real Estate Law is a plus.
  • 5-8 years of proven experience as a Legal Manager, preferably in Resort Operations, with a focus on real estate and property law.
  • Strong understanding of real estate regulations, property development, land use, and zoning laws applicable to the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing legal issues
