Design Engineer for a Sustainable Packaging Startup

Job Summary

We are seeking a Design Engineer for a Sustainable Packaging Startup.

Job Profile:

• Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings with proper GD&T application.
• Design components and assemblies considering manufacturing feasibility (DFM/DFA principles).
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing
• Work with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and other manufacturing processes to develop high-quality products.
• Assist in the assembly of mechanical and electronic components to validate designs.
• Perform tolerance analysis to ensure proper fitment and function of parts.
• Support prototype development and conduct design validation tests.
• Maintain proper documentation for designs, revisions, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electronics, quality, and production for successful project execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Min 2 Years of experience in a Design Engineering role.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar).
• Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards (ASME Y14.5 or equivalent).
• Basic knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Familiarity with electromechanical components and their integration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Exposure to FEA/CFD simulations for design validation.
• Hands-on experience with 3D printing or rapid prototyping.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and wiring harnesses.
• 1.Must have a CAD, 3D printing experience.
• 2.Exposure towards DFMA,
• 3.Multiple branch electrical/electronics assembly.
• 4.Good to have FEA, CNC, Sheet metal fabrication
