Design Engineer for a Sustainable Packaging Startup (Job Code: NSC00091)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Design Engineer for a Sustainable Packaging Startup.

Job Profile:

Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies in line with product requirements
Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA ,Creo (preferably CATIA V5)
Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and tolerance control
Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including BOMs and part lists
Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness of designs
Participate in design reviews, prototyping, testing, and validation activities
Implement DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles in design workflows
Support project management activities and meet deadlines for deliverables
Utilize PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter) for efficient data and revision control

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
1–4 years of relevant experience in mechanical or industrial product design
Proficient in CAD tools: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA V5 (preferred)
Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies, SPM (Special Purpose Machines), and automation systems
Familiarity with sheet metal, plastic components, and electromechanical systems
Knowledge of GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes
Experience with PLM systems and design documentation standards

Preferred Skills:
Exposure to industrial automation, testing machines, or semiconductor equipment design
Ability to handle multiple projects with attention to detail and time management
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Passion for innovation and sustainable product design
