Job Summary

We are seeking a Assistant Production Manager for Substantiable Packaging Start-up.

Job Profile:

Reporting to the Production Head
Oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring smooth workflow, resource optimization, and adherence to production schedules.
Monitor quality, productivity, and efficiency metrics; implement corrective actions where necessary.
Supervise and mentor production teams, ensuring adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and operational standards.
Drive process improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and cost-saving measures.
Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Planning teams for smooth operations and preventive maintenance.
Provide technical expertise in machinery, equipment, production processes, and troubleshooting.
Prepare and present production reports, performance metrics, and improvement plans to the Production Manager.
Support implementation of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle R12) for production planning, monitoring, and reporting.

Assistant Production Manager Requirements:

Experience: 5-8 Years in production department of a manufacturing set up.
Education: BTech/ MTech/ Diploma (Mechanical)
Proven team management experience.
Fluent in Hindi & Kannada
Strong technical knowledge of production machinery, processes, and mechanical systems.
Proven experience in team management, shop floor supervision, and process optimization.
Expertise in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and production problem-solving.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and reporting skills.
Effective communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
