Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Finance Head for a leading engineering firm.

Job Profile:

Business Partnering & P&L Management
Partner with BU Heads to oversee the business unit’s profitability, revenue growth, and cost management.
Develop, monitor, and manage the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and budgets in alignment with organizational goals.
Provide strategic financial insights to drive business decisions.
Project & Site Financial Control
Oversee all financial operations at project sites, including expense tracking, billing, and receivables.
Ensure financial policies and procedures are adhered to at all site levels.
As per CEO directive: Manage all state-wise statutory compliance (GST, etc.) through the Business Finance team.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Monitor and manage BU-level cash flow to ensure liquidity for operational needs.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and implement strategies to optimize working capital.
Management Reporting (MIS) & Analytics
Prepare and present accurate, timely Management Information System (MIS) reports and dashboards.
Provide data-driven insights to senior management and BU heads for decision-making.
Delegated Financial Authority & Governance
As per CEO directive: Hold the authority to process single payments up to ₹50 lakhs.
Review and approve purchase orders (POs) to ensure compliance with budgetary limits.
Lead the weekly Finance Governance Meeting to finalize fund allocations and disbursements.
ERP Implementation & Process Leadership
As per CEO directive: Lead the immediate Tally-to-ERP migration, overseeing external professionals.
Drive process optimization and digital transformation within the finance function.
Weekly Compliance Reporting
As per CEO directive: Compile and submit a weekly compliance report every Friday to the CFO and CEO on fund flow, payments cleared, and statutory submissions.

Requirements:

Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant (Preferred)
Experience: 10+ years of progressive Business Finance experience.
Industry: Construction & Heavy Engineering, EPC / Infrastructure, Highway, Railways & Metro projects
The Business Finance Head must have demonstrated success in cash flow management, fund flow optimization, and vendor-payable discipline.
Strong cost control, budgeting, and project level P&L experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Hands-on expertise in Excel, AI tools, and data crunching.
Proven team leadership and ability to manage multiple finance units.
Deep understanding of accounting, audits, reconciliations, and compliance.
