We are seeking a Business Development Head for a publicly listed Pharmaceutical Manufacturer for their Operations and Maintenance vertical.

Job Profile:

  • Own, be accountable and responsible for overall sales target for the O&M business.
  • Design, set-up, recruit, train and lead a successful business development team.
  • Set up and be responsible for all processes and tools relating to business development, including (but not limited to):
    • Target setting and allocation
    • Sales incentive program design and implementation
    • Pipeline reporting
    • Creation of winning sales collateral (in conjunction with Marketing)
    • Develop winning pricing structures to ensure high value wins whilst maintaining margin thresholds (in conjunction with the BU Head)
  • Take ownership, responsibility & accountability for business development for the O&M vertical, within India and overseas.
  • Build on existing & create new client relationships with the intent to identify potential business opportunities to increase revenues.
  • Be responsible for the revenue growth, cost optimization & EBITDA targets.
  • Nurture, develop & grow future leaders from within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Chemical engineering background with a MBA degree from a reputed institute
  • 12 – 15+ years of overall experience
  • Must have experience & exposure to heavy chemicals, fertilizers, petrochemicals including ETP deliverables within India & Overseas
  • Sound knowledge on “O&M” contracts, including techno-commercial legal aspects of such contracts.
  • Strategic planning & action-oriented approach to business development for growth of business across geographies.
  • Resourceful in building high performance teams, developing next generation of leaders within the company.
  • Long, wide & deep network contact of people, decision makers, influencers and others that helps in establishing long lasting business relationships.
  • Sound financial acumen to manage P&L as per company standards.
  • Experience of having led a team that delivered no less than INR 300 crores of annual sales (O&M) in the India market.
  • Have won over INR 15cr+ of projects in the current / previous roles.
  • Have a strong network in the relevant target market.
  • Executive presence: ability to perform under pressure; someone who leads from the front; ability to train a winning sales team; high ethical bar.
