We are looking for a AGM Chartering for the Singapore office for an established shipping startup having offices in Mumbai, Singapore, Dubai and Oslo.
Job Profile:
Secure spot and forward cargoes/COAs/tonnages to cover future ship/open cargo position
Time-charter contract for covering cargoes in the book; identify potential tonnage for chartering-in through direct contact with owners/operators and international ship broking firms
Involve in Project/Contract negotiation & development and manage fleet coverage
Critical analysis of statistics, records and trade studies and product/client/work research.
Attend conferences, functions, and seminars to gather market information
Negotiate main terms of business and charter party details with owners/charterers, reduce risk exposure and evaluate commercial viability
Maintain a good communication with the internal network (e.g., other offices and departments)
Maintain existing and develop new relationships with clients, brokers, agents, owners and charterers.
Closely follow the performance of voyages and work closely with the Operations Department.
Requirements:
Degree in any discipline with minimum 8 years of Chartering experience in Drybulk ship owner / charterer / broker / operator Company
Good network of contacts and relationship with clients and related community
Multi-lingual advantages – spoken, read and write which will facilitate communication with respective counterparty
Be self-motivated and independent, but able to work in a fast paced team environment.
Have a commercial mindset combined with good interpersonal skills.
Be reliable, proactive and professional.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & any one Asian regional language is required.
Able to travel internationally.
Prefer Singaporean / Permanent Resident or currently working in Singapore.
